What You Can Protect
Almost anything that uniquely identifies your business can be trademarked. Here is a full list of what Indian trademark law protects.
Your company or product name. Example: SHR Professional — registered, it can only be yours.
Your unique symbol, icon, or design that represents your business visually.
A phrase closely associated with your business — like a catchphrase or marketing line.
A combination of your brand name and logo together — often the strongest trademark type.
A specific colour or colour combination that uniquely identifies your brand in the market.
A distinctive sound associated with your brand — like a unique jingle or audio signature.
The unique shape of your product or its packaging — protects distinctive 3D product designs.
We advise you on the best trademark strategy for your business — for free.
Trademark Classes
Trademarks are divided into 45 classes — Classes 1 to 34 cover goods and Classes 35 to 45 cover services. You must file in the class that matches your business activity. Filing in the wrong class means your trademark may not protect you properly.
We analyse your business and identify the correct trademark class or classes for you. Most businesses need to register in 1 to 3 classes.

Why Register?
A trademark is more than legal protection — it is a business asset that grows in value as your brand grows.
You become the only one who can legally use your trademark in India. No one else can copy or misuse your brand name, logo, or slogan.
You can take legal action — including injunctions and damages — against anyone who copies or imitates your registered trademark.
Use the ™ symbol immediately after filing. After full registration, upgrade to the ® symbol — a powerful signal of brand credibility.
A registered trademark significantly increases your brand's market value and makes your business more attractive to investors and buyers.
A trademark can be sold, licensed, or franchised like any other business property — creating an additional revenue stream for your company.
Indian Customs can block counterfeit goods bearing your registered trademark from entering the country — protecting your reputation and sales.
Your Indian trademark registration serves as the basis for applying for trademark protection in other countries through the Madrid Protocol.
Register before investing heavily in brand building. Many startups are forced into costly rebrands because they did not protect their trademark early enough.
Be Prepared
We guide you through every document step by step. Here is what you will need to share with us to begin your trademark application.
Application to Approval
We handle everything — from the first trademark search to final registration. Here is exactly how the process works.
Step 01
We search the IP India database to check if your name or logo is already registered or pending. This step prevents rejection and saves you time and money before filing.
Step 02
We identify the correct trademark class or classes for your business activity. Filing in the wrong class means your trademark may not protect you properly — we make sure you are in the right one.
Step 03
We file your trademark application on the IP India portal. You immediately receive an application number — and you can now legally use the ™ symbol next to your brand name.
Step 04
The IP India office examines your application for any conflicts or issues. If they raise objections, we draft and file a detailed reply on your behalf to overcome them.
Step 05
After passing examination, your trademark is published in the Trade Marks Journal for 4 months. During this time, any third party can file an opposition — we monitor and handle this for you.
Step 06
If no valid opposition is received, your trademark is officially registered. You receive the Registration Certificate and can now use the ® symbol — the gold standard of brand protection in India.
Additional Services
Our trademark services do not end at registration. We protect your brand at every stage of its lifecycle.
🔄 Trademark Renewal
A registered trademark is valid for 10 years from the date of application. After 10 years, you must renew it — otherwise it lapses and anyone can legally use your brand name.
We track your renewal dates and notify you well in advance. Delays can lead to additional fees or permanent loss of your trademark protection.
⚔️ Objection & Opposition
Sometimes the IP India examiner raises an objection — for example, if your trademark is too similar to an existing one or considered too generic. We draft and file a detailed, legally sound reply to overcome the objection.
If a third party opposes your trademark during the 4-month journal publication period, we represent you in the opposition proceedings and defend your brand's right to registration.
Transparent Pricing
The government fee depends on your applicant type. Our professional service fees are disclosed upfront before you begin — no surprises.
